Dung Tran
As an acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, Dung has a deep personal history and profound life experiences that continue to shape her approach to natural healing. She carries forward the invaluable wisdom passed down by her parents.
Her father, who faced limited access to healthcare during the Vietnam War at a young age, developed a profound appreciation for Mother Nature and the medicinal herbs that surrounded our home. His lessons about the importance of natural remedies and the power of observation sparked Dung’s early interest in holistic healing.
This foundation naturally led her to the study of Chinese herbal medicine. Through advanced training in herbal medicine, herbal pharmacy, and herbal formulation, she developed a deep appreciation for the unique properties of medicinal herbs and their ability to support the body’s natural healing processes. Working closely with experienced Chinese herbalists and gaining hands-on experience in herbal formulation strengthened my ability to assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment strategies.
Because each person’s health history, constitution, and goals are unique, Dung is passionate about creating personalized herbal formulas designed specifically for their needs. By carefully selecting and combining herbs, she strives to address both the root causes and manifestations of illness while supporting overall health, balance, and vitality.
Dung’s journey into acupuncture was further inspired by her mother’s recovery after a stroke. Witnessing the transformative effects of electro-acupuncture and seeing her regain strength and vitality ignited her passion for Oriental Medicine. Her mom’s resilience inspired Dung to pursue a career dedicated to helping others find hope, healing, and restoration.
Today, Dung integrates both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to provide comprehensive, individualized care. Each needle she places and every herbal formula she prescribes reflects her commitment to treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. She strives to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered as they work toward recovery, balance, and long-term wellness.
Dung utilizes a comprehensive range of therapeutic modalities, including acupuncture, electro-acupuncture (e-stim), cupping, moxibustion, Chinese herbal medicine, Tuina, and Asian bodywork.
She also completed training at a Chinese herbal pharmacy, further expanding her knowledge of herbal medicine and individualized herbal formulations. This diverse background allows her to create personalized treatment plans that address both physical and emotional health concerns.
She has a special interest in supporting patients through fertility optimization, IVF and assisted reproductive treatments, pregnancy and postpartum care, pain management, stress-related conditions, and emotional wellness. Her approach focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health concerns rather than simply managing symptoms. By combining evidence-informed care with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, she helps patients restore balance, build resilience, and achieve long-term wellness.
As an acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, Dung has a deep persona... Read More
